Transportation Provider Network

Provider Requirements

At LogistiCare, we recognize fully that our success depends on the strengths of our transportation providers. To better ensure that we can offer the best non-emergency transportation network possible, we have established minimum provider requirements and a three-step credentialing process.

To become a LogistiCare network provider, transportation companies must meet our company-set minimum requirements, as well as all contract requirements set by the clients for which transportation is provided. LogistiCare's minimum provider requirements include:
  • Drivers and attendants: Successful completion of criminal- and driving-record checks, drug testing and all required training.
  • Administrative capabilities, including the ability to receive trip reservations via fax or modem.
  • General vehicle (include, but are not limited to, the following):
    • Vehicles must be leased or owned by the provider
    • Each vehicle must be equipped with a two-way communication system
    • Various interior and exterior standards, including safety equipment and signage
  • Specific vehicle requirements depend on the vehicle type. For example, vehicles used to transport wheelchair customers must be in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements in effect at the time the vehicle is manufactured.
  • Proof of insurance: Coverage must be in compliance with federal and/or state statutory requirements. LogistiCare also sets minimum standards per vehicle and for general liability (minimum will vary by service territory).
  • Possession and maintenance of all licenses and certifications required by federal, state, county and local governments.

On an ongoing basis, providers must demonstrate compliance with set standards for field audits, performance and record keeping, as well as complaint response and reporting. Failure to do so may result in liquidated damages being assesed or even contract termination.
