LogistiCare has unmatched experience in delivering a successful outsourcing solution for Medicaid non-emergency transportation. We implemented the first-of-its kind statewide Medicaid non-emergency management system in the mid-1990s. Since then, many other states have adopted our model.
Our approach replaces a fragmented system of multiple, individual providers with a fully integrated single-source solution for medical transportation. Eligible recipients have just one local phone number to call to schedule quality, reliable transportation.
And, our approach gives state agencies the reassurance that our business interests are aligned with theirs. They gain the ease of working with a single, experienced vendor responsible for implementing their mandated requirements.
In each of our operations, an experienced local management team oversees a network of local non-emergency transportation providers. We don't own or operate a vehicle fleet, so we don't compete with local providers.
Instead, our 1,300 transportation companies nationwide provide the actual transportation for eligible Medicaid recipients, working in close partnership with each local LogistiCare operation. Many transportation companies have even seen their businesses grow as a result of their partnerships with LogistiCare.
Being part of and familiar with the communities we serve is important to us.
To create our effective outsourcing solution, LogistiCare utilizes proprietary data management technology – as well as the latest telephone, Internet, wireless mobile data and global positioning system technology – with local regional management oversight of networks of local commercial, non-profit and public transportation providers. The results are exceptional.
