The origins of what is now LogistiCare date back to 1986 when we entered into business as a logistics software solution developer offering wireless data technology geared to the ambulance industry.
Later, seeing the challenges our clients faced in managing the back-office functions of their transportation operations, we entered into the transportation consulting business.
In the mid-1990s, we worked with HMOs in Connecticut to implement the first-of-its-kind, statewide Medicaid non-emergency transportation (NET) network management system. Shortly thereafter we created a new statewide NET brokerage system for Georgia, our first state client.
Our proprietary, purpose-built software and effective management oversight enabled the state of Georgia to cut its transportation budget in half, to virtually eliminate fraud and to increase healthcare access by 300 percent. Now, nearly two dozen states have adopted the Georgia model.
Over the years, we have expanded our business into a variety of business lines and have become the largest, longest-running, and most successful company in our industry.
Our historical timeline provides more detail about LogistiCare's development.
And, if you still would like to know more about LogistiCare, our Media Resources library is packed with lots of useful facts and stats about the company. |
